Overview of the Event

 

The program named “Indonesia’s Conference and Cultural Event 2007” is an academic and cultural event that discusses, celebrates, and shares Indonesian cultural diversity to the general public of Hawaii. It is also important to note that this program does not carry any political or religious message.

 

The theme of this program is “Indonesia in Transition: Managing Diversity and Strengthening Nationality”.

 


Objectives

 

The objectives of this program are:

1.  To introduce the diversity of Indonesian cultures and ways of life to an international community.

2. To assess cultural diversity of Indonesia as a social capital to strengthen the unity of the Indonesian nation.

3. To seek some feasible solutions to the problems derived from ethnic, political and cultural diversity in Indonesian society.
